In an interview with the press, Thùy Anh once shared the reason for rejecting this role: 'I personally received an invitation to play My Wolf in Quỳnh Búp Bê but had to decline because at that time I had just accepted another film project with a character that was different from the image I was building, so I couldn't participate. When the film aired, I saw Thu Quỳnh playing My Wolf very well and fitting the role much better than me. I also felt that I wasn't mature enough for the character who required more life experience.'
