Legend has it that over 700 years ago, a passionate couple faced separation due to war. The young man went to battle, while the girl waited by the waterfall every day for her lover to return. One stormy day, the water surged, submerging the entire waterfall. The girl was swept away, leaving only the love token – an embroidered scarf draped near the waterfall. In memory of this tragic love story, the locals named the waterfall “Dai Yem,” which in ancient Thai language means “Thread of Love.”
