New features will be available through a toggle switch button that the company is adding, allowing users to test new features and collect feedback. Users can easily choose to participate and experiment with new features if desired, meaning there's no need to commit to using these features until they're completed and released to all users.
Microsoft announces updates to enhance the Outlook experience for Windows and web platforms
First off, there are new changes on Outlook for Windows. Microsoft introduces a simplified Ribbon toolbar that the company announced back in June. In addition to the new interface, these changes allow the app to display content appropriately across different device sizes. Next, users can easily add and remove elements, unnecessary features on the Ribbon, or hide these features.
To use Outlook, you need an account for the service, check out how to sign up for Outlook here.
Some other parts of the user interface also have minor changes. The Folders section will now list groups as separate items from email folders, so when users collapse these items, they still appear.
The list of emails is also refined to help users easily read the contents of emails, with larger email subject headings displayed. Additionally, there are buttons right on the email header to help users compose and reply to emails more easily.
Finally, the calendar in Outlook becomes smarter and more user-friendly. Users can easily add required or optional meeting attendees, meeting times, and Outlook will provide suggested meeting locations based on the availability of meeting rooms during that time.
In addition to Outlook for Windows, Outlook on the web platform has also been deployed and enhanced with a range of new improvements, some of which were announced by the company back in June. This includes a smarter search box, displaying lists of recently interacted users or more frequently interacted users. Additionally, users can easily search for files in the inbox through a separate tab instead of navigating through all received emails to find a specific file as before.
The tech giant Microsoft has also added a series of smart responses to Outlook, helping users save time and avoid headaches thinking about providing appropriate answers. The Smart Reply smart response feature will be suggested based on the content of the email that the user receives.
The email categorization feature in Outlook helps you manage emails in your inbox in a more organized and professional manner, refer to how to create Rules in Outlook here to help categorize and filter emails in Microsoft Outlook.
The Favorites section in the inbox allows users to add more people and categories to the folder, so they can update emails from specific users or about specific topics.
The web platform calendar also receives some new improvements, providing information about the availability of meeting rooms, similar to the Windows app. Additionally, Microsoft has redesigned event icons to make it easier for users to identify different types of events on their calendar.
The company also makes managing groups easier, with the addition of some new features to facilitate easier exploration of related content. Email categorization is also easier, with a new Files tab allowing users to view recently used and edited documents. Access the Group tab to quickly view information about group members and Group Admin.

Finally, to use and experience these features, users need to activate the additional toggle switch on Outlook on both the web platform and the Windows app. The feature will be available to all users after a trial period, but there is currently no information revealing the specific timing of when Microsoft will start rolling out the new feature to users.
According to the latest information, The feature to record entire Skype calls is now available, which will help users save private conversations or easily share them later. With this enhancement, users will no longer need to rely on third-party apps but can directly activate it while making calls on Skype for Windows.
