Microsoft has released the Edge 89.0.774.4 update for users in the Dev channel. This is the last build for version 89. The company plans to deploy this build to the Beta channel next week, focusing on minor updates and bug fixes later this week.

Microsoft Edge Dev 89.0.774.4 introduces several new features, bringing enhancements to Collections and Read Aloud functions for PDF files. The update also addresses various bug fixes. Additionally, the company emphasizes refining features such as syncing browsing history and open tabs, a feature now officially supported across all browser versions. They also highlight that builds across channels now officially support Apple Silicon.

* Here are two new features added in this build: - Option to add the current website to a collection by right-clicking on the collection in the Collections list. - Enhanced Read Aloud function for PDF files.

* As usual, the update includes an extensive list of bug fixes to enhance user experience:

- Fixed an issue when closing Edge.

- Resolved the problem on Mac when closing Edge update notifications.

- Fixed the issue of navigation back and forth in IE Mode tabs.

- Resolved the vertical tabs bug when closing the browser.

- Fixed the right-click problem.

- Addressed the issue of automatically filling payment information on a website.

- Resolved the issue where unsaved annotations in a PDF file were not restored when Edge session was recovered after a crash or unexpected closure.

- Fixed the malfunction of the Read Aloud feature.

- Various other bug fixes.

With the Microsoft Edge 89.0.774.4 version entering the Beta channel, the first build of version 90 may appear on the Dev channel as early as next week. One of the anticipated features in this release is the Tab Previews option from Edge Legacy.
