Kids Mode or child mode is designed for age groups 5-8 and 9-12. With child-friendly features and protective guardrails, it's a fantastic place for young users to safely explore the world of the Internet.
Children will experience a safer internet with Microsoft Edge 90 Beta.
Kids Mode utilizes Bing's safe search tool to ensure children receive 'child-friendly' content, including a predefined list of websites that can be customized later. In Kids Mode, you'll find articles for young ones, customizable browser themes, and privacy settings set to Strict to prevent tracking.
You can find Kids Mode in the profile selection menu without the need to log in with a Microsoft account. However, logging in allows syncing Kids Mode settings across multiple devices. If this is your first time launching Kids Mode, you'll receive an explanation of its features. Afterward, choose the appropriate age for access.
As usual, the Edge Beta browser updates silently in the background. However, if you want to experience this mode immediately, you can open Settings > About Microsoft Edge for a manual update.
