Microsoft Edge beta now offers iPad support for iOS users.

In November last year, Microsoft caused a stir by announcing the expansion of its Edge browser to iOS and Android devices. The Microsoft Edge beta released in November supported the 19.5:9 aspect ratio on iPhone X but lacked iPad support. Good news for iPad users, as Microsoft has just released a new Microsoft Edge beta for iOS with iPad support today.

In January, Sean Lyndersay from Microsoft announced that the new Microsoft Edge version with iPad support would launch in early February. Despite some delays, Microsoft has finally delivered the Microsoft Edge version with iPad support. However, this version is currently only available to users enrolled in the beta testing program on iOS.

Update 41.12 (12.0.0) was released today, replacing version 41.10.1 (10.1.0). In addition to Apple tablet support, the new update also improves user login/logout experiences and includes some performance enhancements.

If you're registered for the beta testing program on iOS, you can download the update from Apple's TestFlight app. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until the update is available for all users.
