According to Windows Latest, a new server-side update is currently being rolled out for the Stable version of Microsoft Edge, allowing you to sync web browsing history and tabs on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. However, you need to sign in to Edge with your Microsoft account on all your devices to use this feature.
Since the debut of Chromium Edge last year, the synchronization of history and tabs has been a significant missing feature in Microsoft's enhanced browser. Users of Edge Canary got a taste of this capability in October last year, and now it appears it will be introduced in the stable version of Edge.
The feature to sync web browsing history and tabs is currently being automatically activated in the Stable version of Edge for some users. However, if the feature isn't enabled by default in your browser, you can go to the Settings menu of Edge and activate it by toggling History and Open tabs.
Afterward, you can start syncing history and all tabs between both your computer and mobile device logged in with the same Microsoft account. It's essential to note that syncing will only work when this feature is enabled in all versions of the browser.
As Microsoft is currently deploying the capability to sync history and tabs in Edge across all devices for a select group of users, this feature may be activated in browser updates in the future from the company's server.
The history and tab synchronization feature will be introduced in Edge 88, along with the password tracker, when the next version of Edge is released later this month.
