Earlier this month, Microsoft began rolling out Bing search support for SwiftKey Beta app for Android, enabling users to search for information on the web directly within the keyboard app. Good news for users, the feature is now available in the stable keyboard app version.
To access the feature, all you need to do is tap the plus icon to open the toolbar, then tap the search icon. Search results will be displayed in a browser tab overlay. Additionally, there are options to capture, crop, and send screenshots of search result pages to specific contacts or share URLs with someone.
Unfortunately, there's no option to switch the search engine to Google. This is understandable as Bing is Microsoft's search engine, and it's also the company behind the SwiftKey keyboard app, so limiting switch options is normal.
Bing search feature is currently limited and only available in the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Brazil, India, Italy, and Spain.
