Microsoft introduced the Immersive Reader feature for the first time in Outlook on the web and OneNote for Windows 10 back in 2017. Since then, the Redmond giant has added more capabilities to this feature, including additional support for translation and an inline dictionary. Recently, the company announced that they are expanding the reach of the reading tool to PowerPoint and OneDrive.
Microsoft states that the addition of this tool to PowerPoint was highly requested. The company is incorporating Immersive Reader into two parts of the application: text within slides and Notes. Users can select text at will within a slide or in the notes. Then, right-click and choose the tool from the context menu. This action will open the text in Edge's Immersive Reader tool, providing users with the full functionality, including visual dictionary and other settings.

Another application receiving this feature is OneDrive. Users will be able to access the reading tool in Word and other text documents stored in the cloud service directly from the application menu or website. This makes it easier for students and other frequent tool users to access it from the cloud storage.
Immersive Reader for PowerPoint and OneDrive is set to launch later this year. Another addition is the tool support embedded in Forms for OneNote documents. The company further mentions that this feature works with Math Quizzes and complex mathematical equations.
Furthermore, Microsoft announces the addition of support for 18 new languages to Immersive Reader, expanding the availability of this feature to a broader user base. Additionally, Android 10 is currently rolling out for the Nokia 3.1 version. Check out the detailed article here for the latest insights into this event.
