Windows 11 22H2 is the latest update bringing numerous new features and enhancements, including advancements for gaming.
Last month, Microsoft confirmed that their latest Windows 11 version has been causing headaches for many gamers. The software giant acknowledged an issue leading to the activation of a GPU debugging feature not intended for regular consumers. This resulted in users experiencing slowdowns, lag, and stuttering while playing various games.

Microsoft had to establish a barrier to prevent affected computers from updating to Windows 11 22H2 to prevent the issue from spreading. Currently, Microsoft states that the problem has been resolved and the upgrade barrier has been removed.
Microsoft advises users affected by performance degradation issues on Windows 11 22H2 to install the latest cumulative update, released on December 14, 2022. This update, labeled KB5020044, addresses the GPU debugging issue and restores lost performance.
To check and install update KB5020044, press Win + I to access Settings, then navigate to Windows Update. Here, click on Check for updates and wait for the system to check for updates. When you see the update with ID KB5020044, click Download and install to proceed with downloading and installing.
Previously, users could address the issue by updating their games to the latest version. However, this solution does not guarantee 100% success with all titles. Fortunately, we finally have a solution from Microsoft itself.
Windows 11 22H2 is the latest update providing numerous new features and enhancements, including improvements for gaming. Additionally, it also addresses some of the annoyances of the original Windows 11 version, delivering a better experience for users.
