Recently, Microsoft officially announced detailed information about the Web Capture feature as it's integrated into the Canary and Dev builds of the Edge browser. This tool is located within the Settings menu accessed from the ellipsis (...) icon at the top right of the screen and can also be pinned to the toolbar. Selecting the icon will automatically switch the screen to capture mode, where users can easily select precisely what they want to capture.
An intriguing aspect is that this feature also supports scrolling capture mode. Users can drag the selection tool to the bottom of the webpage to scroll and capture more content. Additionally, you can use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + S to access the Web Capture tool.
The tech giant from Redmond states they're working to add even more features such as drawing on screenshots, highlighting sections in the image, capturing entire web pages, and even adding annotations while scrolling through the screenshots. However, at present, there are only two options available on the tool including the Copy and Preview commands. The preview screen provides additional options to save, share, or copy the image.

Although the company doesn't specify which specific builds to activate this feature, Edge Dev and Canary users will start seeing it in the current builds. The introduction of the Web Capture tool and upcoming capabilities will be a welcomed addition for those leveraging this feature in Edge Legacy and those who frequently jot down quick notes from webpages.
