HoloLens is the solution Microsoft has chosen to test mixed reality applications aimed at businesses, and the company is now planning to expand platform support for Android and iOS. As part of the Dynamics 365 update, Microsoft today announced that 2 of the mixed reality applications, Product Visualize and Remote Assistant, will soon be available on iOS and Android.
The Product Visualize app is designed to enhance the process of selling oversized or complex products. By using Augmented Reality, the app overlays virtual versions of products in the real world through the camera of an iPhone or iPad.

According to Microsoft: 'By using Product Visualize, salespeople can display products to customers directly within the Dynamics 365 for Sales workflow, and notes on space and configuration are all stored directly within the sales link.'
Dynamics 365 Product Visualize will be released in preview for iOS devices.
For the Android platform, Microsoft is planning to release Dynamics 365 Remote Assist, which has been in use on HoloLens for several months now.
The application enables collaboration in complex tasks, providing employees with a solution to connect with remote experts to troubleshoot issues on-site. Using Mixed Reality, remote experts can overlay annotations and instructions on anything the camera of an Android device is seeing.
Additionally, the Remote Assist version for Android will also feature group calling and deep integration with Dynamics 365 for Field Service.
Similar to Product Visualize for iOS, Dynamics 365 Remote Assist for Android will also be released as a preview version.
