Together Mode
Together Mode is developed to bring all virtual meeting participants into a shared digital space. The company utilizes AI segmentation technology to gather meeting attendees into a shared background, creating the sensation of everyone sitting in the same room together. Teams has now begun rolling out this mode along with the auditorium view. The feature will reach all users in August.
Dynamic View
Alongside Together Mode, Microsoft also announces another AI-supported feature called Dynamic View. This feature enables you to see all participants alongside the discussed content.
Video Filters
This is a practical feature, allowing users to add a layer of virtual filters to enhance the appearance and feel of the call. With video filters, you can adjust the brightness and focus of the camera before starting the meeting.
Reflect Messaging Extension
With this extension, Microsoft mentions that managers, leaders, and educators can easily check in or chat with their team or students. The extension provides suggested questions, along with the option to add custom questions. It will be available for download from GitHub in the coming weeks.
Live Reactions
With Live Reactions, you can drop emojis throughout the meeting. All call participants will see these emojis. Live Reactions is a feature shared with Live Presentations in PowerPoint, allowing members to provide instant feedback to the presenter.
Live Captions
Despite Microsoft Teams already supporting Live Captions - a feature displaying real-time subtitles, it has been enhanced with this update. Now, you'll easily identify who is presenting alongside the subtitles at the current moment.
The company will also add support for up to 1,000 participants in Teams meetings. When it comes to meetings for presentation from a single person, Teams allows 20,000 participants at once.
Other features added include Microsoft Whiteboard & Tasks app, reply suggestions, chat bubbles, and Cortana within the Teams app for mobile platforms. Cortana will be available in the Teams app on iOS and Android in the coming weeks for Microsoft 365 Enterprise users in the US.
If you're someone who frequently works with documents, scans paperwork, then surely the feature of capturing scrollable pages will be very useful to you. Although Google has promised users, however, Android 11 will not support the scrollable screenshot feature this year.
