For Excel, Microsoft has added support for new data types on spreadsheets, automatically recognizing them. When you insert data that looks like geographical data (such as city names) or stock data (abbreviations like MSFT, AAPL...), Excel will offer you the option to convert them into those data types, allowing it to retrieve information like stock prices and more.
Excel now has the ability to refresh Power Query queries from SQL Server. When setting up a data source that requires you to specify login information, you'll easily refresh it from the Data tab later on. If you prefer not to store your login information, you can access Data > Connections and select Clear Permissions.
Finally, PowerPoint has received a small new feature, allowing you to hide the current slide in Presenter mode, instead displaying only the next slide and expanded notes. This could be useful to prevent you from looking at your screen instead of the audience while presenting.
As usual, Office updates for Mac are automatically rolled out, so you'll soon be greeted with them. If you don't want to wait, you can always manually check for updates in the settings.
