Microsoft announces the availability of the revamped Edge Add-ons website to all users. The company states that the purpose of the redesign is to address some important issues highlighted by users, related to discovering add-ons for this web browser. Key changes include modifying the front end of the website to improve browsing, accessibility, and search results.
The storefront facade has been updated to include a curated list of extensions categorized into sections like Editor's picks, with several new additions. This facilitates users in swiftly discovering newly added extensions alongside the current offerings. The Redmond giant stated that it has also enhanced the navigation between categories and search result pages. Search results now provide more information and actionable items for extensions.
Microsoft also revealed a revamped Add-ons webpage as part of efforts to improve extension management within the browser, making it easier for users to navigate and manage extensions. This new Add-ons page also incorporates enhancements for accessibility features such as high contrast mode or screen narration.
Lastly, the company plans to streamline the Partner Center in the coming months to assist extension developers in better managing their extensions. Microsoft began accepting Edge extensions from developers again in December, and the page still retains the Beta tab. Edge users can also visit the Chrome Web Store to download extensions, as these extensions are also supported by the Edge browser. You can access the Edge Add-ons website at the following link Here.
