In the latest list of features slated for removal from Windows 10, Microsoft has announced that the My People app (an app commonly seen on the Taskbar) is no longer under development and will be removed in a future release. Currently, My People still exists in the Windows 10 November 2019 update
Removing the People app from Windows 10
My People, also known as My people, was introduced in the Windows 10 Fall Creators update, appearing as a small person icon on the Taskbar. Clicking on this icon allows users to quickly access the email or Skype of their three close friends. Moreover, these individuals can send you quick emoticons. These icons will appear on your screen to remind you that they are thinking of you.
If you find this intriguing, then you are among the few who appreciate it. Microsoft usually removes a feature when it is not used or has become obsolete. A typical example is the Windows to Go feature, which was previously removed because it used a type of USB that is no longer supported by the original parts manufacturer. It can be said that People will never fall into this category. However, people can use Snapchat, WhatsApp, or any other means of communication to connect with friends, not just People.
In fact, in a recent experiment we conducted, the People app was disabled in the Windows 10 November 2019 update. However, it could also be because I turned off this app on my Windows when logging into this system. This could also be the first step in the process of removing People.
Some other features of the Windows 10 Fall Creators update that will be removed include 3D Builder, Mixed Reality Viewer, .... People also falls into this list.
In November, smartphone users received a plethora of exciting news, highlighted by the event of Brave Software releasing Brave 1.0 on Windows, bringing Brave Rewards to iOS and iPhone, marking its presence across all current computer and mobile platforms.
