According to Microsoft, real-time collaboration is a crucial feature in Word, enhancing work efficiency. Therefore, any disruptions may lead to a less pleasant user experience. Thus, after updating to the latest Word update, the entire user experience will be smoother.
New features, enhancements for Outlook
The new Outlook update adds support for proxy accounts. According to the Redmond giant, this is one of the most anticipated features by many Outlook users.
In the previous Outlook version, users could receive emails from addresses other than their default one (known as proxy or alias addresses). Now, users can also send emails from those proxy accounts by choosing their desired sending address.
To utilize this feature, users click Home => New Email. In the email window, click the arrow icon next to the From button and select Manage List. Then add the From address to the dropdown menu. After completion, select the desired email address (via the From menu), then compose the email and click the Send button to send the email. Note: Admins must activate this to provide it to users.
Besides significant improvements for Word and Outlook, the new Office preview update also includes bug fixes for PowerPoint and Access.
Currently, there is no specific information on when Microsoft will deploy these features to all users.
