As usual, Microsoft has introduced a new Edge build for the Canary channel today; it consistently receives daily updates. According to the findings by Richard Hay, the interesting part is that this version is numbered 79.0.278.0, making it the first build based on Chromium 79.
Microsoft unveils a new Edge Canary build based on Chromium 79
Microsoft has not yet released any official notes on the new features of this update. They rarely do this in Canary releases. However, this means we will see Edge 79 a week after the Dev version update, and we will continue to learn more about it later. Typically, Edge Dev builds are introduced at the beginning of the week, so users won't have to wait too long. The update for this week was introduced yesterday.
As Edge 79 is now available on both Canary and Dev branches, Edge 78 finally appears on the Beta branch. Edge Beta is updated only once every 6 weeks with significant changes. Since the first build was introduced on 20/8, it has been on Edge 77. A new Edge Beta build is expected to be released in the next two weeks.
Simultaneously, you can experience the Edge 79 web browser on the Canary branch. This build is available on both Windows and MacOS. If you notice any new features, please share them with us in the comments below.
Apart from Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Coc Coc are all leading web browsers today. Download Firefox, Chrome, and use these browsers to serve your learning and work needs.
Not to be outdone by Microsoft, the search giant Google is also making new updates to enhance search capabilities with videos. The developer introduces the feature of Searching specific content in YouTube videos through Google Search.
