(National) - Starting from the year 2025, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates and upgrades for Windows 10.
From 2025 onwards, Microsoft will cease providing security updates and upgrades for Windows 10. As a result, many PCs, even if they are still functioning well, will no longer receive support due to not meeting the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11.
This means that many computers will be at risk of cybersecurity threats as well as software errors.

Microsoft emphasizes that discontinuing the provision of security updates and upgrades for Windows 10 is aimed at urging global users to install their latest Windows 11 operating system.
This decision by the leading U.S. technology company has sparked controversy and elicited reactions from many users. Recently, a non-profit organization in North America has submitted a proposal urging Microsoft to continue supporting Windows 10 after 2025.
According to this organization, discontinuing the use of Windows 10 could lead to a surge in electronic waste worldwide. The proposal specifies that 40% of Microsoft's Windows 10 PCs could become electronic waste, hindering Microsoft from achieving its environmental protection goals.
Research by technology firm Lansweeper reveals that out of every 10 personal PCs, 4 fail to meet the minimum hardware requirements for installing Windows 11.
To check if your PC is compatible with Windows 11, simply go to Menu > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > and click on the 'Check for updates' button.
