According to sources, the Vivo X100 series will feature 3 models: Vivo X100, Vivo X100 Pro, and Vivo X100 Pro+. The 'Pro Plus' model is slated for a later release, possibly early next year. Now, details about these have just been shared in a fresh leak.
Leaks suggest that the Vivo X100 series will not come equipped with periscope lenses, contrary to previous indications. It's worth noting that Vivo has integrated periscope camera technology using periscope lenses for its flagships since introducing the Vivo X70 series in 2021. Therefore, it's puzzling why the X100 series would omit this feature.
According to a recent report, the Vivo X100 is expected to feature a primary camera utilizing Sony's IMX9-series 1/14x-inch sensor, accompanied by a Sony IMX663 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and an OmniVision OV64B 64-megapixel telephoto lens. The primary camera is said to be an enhanced version of the IMX9-series sensor and an advanced variant of the IMX866. On the other hand, the X100 Pro is rumored to feature a 1-inch primary camera, a new periscope zoom camera, and possibly the IMX663 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
Rumors suggest that the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro will utilize the Dimensity 9300 chipset. Both these smartphones are expected to debut as early as November this year in the Chinese market. On the other hand, the Vivo X100 Pro+, speculated to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, may launch in the first quarter of 2024.
