Once, someone told me that visiting Moc Chau during the flower season feels like being in paradise. Here, you not only experience the cold of the mountainous region but also feel warmth, with your heart beating joyfully when faced with the magnificent beauty of nature.

The scenery here is akin to nature's hammock
I spent quite some time traveling from Saigon, buying a plane ticket to Hanoi. Then from Hanoi, to My Dinh bus station to purchase a ticket to Moc Chau – Son La. But it only takes a few hours for the 200km journey, and the paradise of Ba Phach will appear before your eyes. There are numerous trips to Moc Chau every day. If you travel in the cold season, there's nothing more wonderful than the feeling of being wrapped in a blanket, listening to the echoing music while passing through the rugged mountains, the lush green Cao Phong orange groves as you glide past Hoa Binh province.

Every season in Moc Chau is beautiful, but spring is the most enchanting. During this time, nowhere is as beautiful as Ba Phach village. It's a small village, filled with fields of mustard flowers, plenty of plump ripe peaches, and abundant oranges glowing like lanterns hanging high.

To reach Ba Phach village, all you need is a rugged scooter, ask the locals for directions, and when you see flower fields stretching across the mountains, you know you've arrived.
Ba Phach village is indeed the paradise of mustard flowers
I visited Ba Phach village early in the morning, where people wake up and labor from their dreams. They embrace pigs, carry chickens to sell. They also raise dairy cows, grow vegetables, and cultivate grass. Life here is truly rustic and peaceful.
In Ba Phach village, the mornings are filled with mist. You can easily spot spider webs laden with dew hanging high on the plum tree branches. It's also easy to catch the scent of green tea flowers in the morning, the fragrance of white plum blossoms, the aroma of golden mustard flowers, and vast white cabbage flowers everywhere.

Here, scenes straight out of dreams come to life. It's the small tranquil houses amidst endless mustard flower fields. It's the majestic mountains, the babbling brooks. You'll also experience the sensation of running up steep hills, rushing down into the valleys with complete freedom.

Right near Ba Phach village, you can dine at the 'Salmon Orchard' restaurant. They serve fresh, clean salmon, sliced sashimi-style. If you're a party of two, you'll only spend about 500,000 VND for a satisfying feast at this place. If there are more of you, the price will be even cheaper. They have famous Moc Sa wine here. Our salmon platter for two included 5 dishes: raw salmon, salmon porridge, crispy fried salmon skin, salmon hotpot, and breaded salmon. That day, I ate heartily, drank deeply at this place, even forgot my phone. But when I returned, it was heartwarming to see the staff return it to me, the forgetful customer.

I spent quite a bit of time wandering around Ba Phach village. It's incredibly beautiful here with mustard fields intermingling with areas where locals grow tea, cabbage, and grass for cattle... But I also explored some other spots like the pine forest of Ang village (reminiscent of Dalat), Heart-shaped tea hill, Five Caves of On village, and the Yem Veil waterfall... Each place has its own distinctive beauty of mountain forests with stunning landscapes and captivating flowers.

Choosing accommodation in Moc Chau is not difficult. You can easily stay at homestays run by locals or opt for some more upscale hotels like Muong Thanh, Arena Moc Chau. If you prefer budget-friendly, laid-back guesthouses, you can choose Bơ House. It's a fantastic choice for those who love rustic, carefree living. Near these areas, you can explore many beautiful natural landscapes by motorbike.

Regarding cuisine, Moc Chau is famous for its apple wine and renowned Moc Sa wine. For breakfast, you should trythe dishes characteristic of the local people here. I had an impressive breakfast tasting pork heart and steamed pork blood followed by delicious apple wine. In Moc Chau, there's also a famous dish called nam pia and a dish called thang co. These are dishes that challenge the taste buds and courage of many.
When you arrive in Moc Chau, especially when you set foot in Ba Phach village, you'll feel an indescribable gentlesensation. It's the most gentle, romantic, and untouched. The nature here is fresh, peaceful. The people here are honest, simple, and the food is delicious. There are many beautiful flower seasons in Dalat, in many other regions, but the flower fields in Ba Phach village – Moc Chau are truly poetic. You will see with your own eyes mustard flowers, plum blossoms blooming white on the hillsides and mountainsides, see the vast fields of grass that locals plant to raise dairy cows, golden cows.

Once you're here, you'll surely feel envious of the people here, they are themost humble, yet they are also the ones who have the privilege of living in paradise.
