According to director Agnes Larrson, Minecraft 1.20 The Trails & Tales (roughly translated as The Trails and Tales) will lead players to new adventures, creating unique stories for each individual. The Trails are the elements that will bind and connect exciting journeys in the world of Minecraft.

Similar to other major updates, Minecraft 1.20 The Trails & Tales will introduce a variety of new mobs and biomes, such as the Sniffer mob, Camel, and the Cherry Blossom biome. Blocks and mechanics are also updated to better align with the development direction of this sandbox game.

Although the official release date has not been announced, Mojang is testing new features through trials on both Bedrock and Java Snapshot platforms.
