To use the Money feature in Excel, you'll first need to install the template and then set it up by linking your bank accounts through a plugin supported by Plaid. After linking, Excel will be able to retrieve data on all your transactions, providing you with an overview of your expenditures and income across all your accounts.
The template includes features like Monthly Snapshot, presenting an overview of your current month's spending. It allows you to compare your spending habits to the previous month and organizes purchase transactions by category so you can see where your money went and for what purposes. This template is customizable, allowing you to create your own spending categories or generate charts to visualize specific data types not included by default. Additionally, you can also copy any transaction to a separate spreadsheet if you need to perform specific calculations.
In addition to the expense management support feature for Excel, Microsoft has introduced some new updates for mobile users. Notably, the Office app for iOS now supports HEIC files for file conversion and features voice input for more efficient data entry.
