II. INSTALLATION AND USAGE OF DU METER APPLICATION
1. Installation Guide
On the computer's browser, navigate to the official Download page of DU Meter: HERE. On the main interface of the website, click on: Download DU Meter
Or quickly access the following link to download the software: Download: DU Meter
After the download is complete, open the DU Meter software on your computer -> Choose the appropriate language in the Select Setup Language window.
In the next window, click on Next.
Next, check the box: I accept the agreement
Next, choose the folder for storing the installation files of DU Meter software.
Press Finish to complete the installation process of DU Meter software on your computer.
2. User Guide
On the main interface of the DU Meter software, click on Next in the three windows that appear.
Next, open the web browser on your computer and go to the DU Meter software registration page: HERE. Enter all the required information on the website, including:
+ Full name
+ Email address
+ Password
+ Time zone: Choose (GMT+07:00) Hanoi if you are in Vietnam
After completing the information, click on Create an account.
The purpose of creating an account is to receive a unique code on the computer in use. This code will help DU Meter manage and monitor internet speed on the device more efficiently by regularly sending analytical reports.
After successfully creating an account, on the interface of the website you are accessing, find and select the option: Add some computers.
Enter the name of the computer device -> Add a new computer.
At this point, the website will display a unique code. Press the Ctrl+C key combination or highlight the text and right-click -> Copy.
Return to the DU Meter software, paste this code into the box: dumeter.net computer code by pressing the key combination: Ctrl+V or right-click and select Paste. Then click Next to proceed to the next window.
Finally, click on Finish to complete the setup process with the DU Meter software.
A notification will then appear with the content: Do you want the DU Meter tool on your computer's toolbar, click Yes to confirm.
At this moment, the screen will display an analysis table of your connected internet connection. The red arrow icon pointing down represents Download, and the green arrow icon pointing up represents Upload.
The DU Meter software will now have an icon in the system tray. To show or hide the internet analysis indicators on your computer, choose one of the two functions: Show DU Meter or Hide DU Meter.
To view specific analyses and reports of Internet usage on the device over time intervals such as daily, hourly, etc., choose the Totals and reports function or press the shortcut key F4.
An interesting feature of DU Meter, compared to some other software, is the ability to sound an alert when there is Download or Upload data on the device. To use this feature, select: Option -> Colors & sounds -> Check the box Play a sound each time... As shown in the image, whenever there is 1MB of Download or Upload on the computer, the software will immediately sound an alert.
To view internet analysis indicators on DU Meter more easily, you can set the data unit to kB/sec or kbps in the Data units and time period function.
