Step 1: From the Press the Windows + R key combination screen, type the phrase “gpedit.msc” then press Enter after typing
Step 2: Find and access Audit Policy by going to Computer Configuration then Windows Settings, select Security Settings, choose Local Policies and finally go to Audit Policy.
Step 3: Next, on the right side, select Audit logon event
A new window will appear, you check the Success and Failure boxes as shown below then press OK to save the settings
Step 4: to check who has used your computer while you were away, press the Windows + W key combination then type the phrase “View event logs” and select View event logs below
Next, a new dialog box will appear, it will list all events and times, you can review what you've done, within what time frame to see if anyone has tampered with your computer, you can go to Windows Logs and Security to check if anyone has logged into your computer system.
