Returning to Motorola, the renowned manufacturer became the first brand to equip its products with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor last year. It's highly likely that Motorola will continue to be the first manufacturer to equip the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with the confirmation of the Moto X40.
Chen Jin, Lenovo's Mobile Business Executive Director, confirms the appearance of the Moto X40 for the first time and also provides images of the staggering AnTuTu scores exceeding 1.3 million points.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 sparks a frenzy on AnTuTu Benchmark
The Motorola X40 will be widely released globally under the name Motorola Edge 40 Pro. Leaked images reveal record-breaking high scores in the AnTuTu Benchmark performance evaluation software, reaching 1,312,901 points.
Setting a record-high score impresses many users, but it's important to remember that benchmark scores are just for reference to test performance and compare with other phones. In reality, there are many other factors involved in making a phone good, but it's commendable that the Motorola X40 is equipped with top-notch specs, inheriting the legacy of its predecessors.

Motorola X40 delivers superior performance
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 features a core arrangement including 1 x ARM Cortex-X3 + 4 x ARM Cortex-A715 + 3 x ARM Cortex-A510. For the first time, the chipset is equipped with a power-efficient cluster with only 3 cores, and Qualcomm may be confident that its processor boasts excellent energy efficiency.
At present, it's still unknown when the Motorola X40 will be launched, but with the recent strong marketing campaign, the product may soon be revealed.

According to leaks, the Motorola X40 is likely the XT2301-5 phone approved by TENAA. The device will feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. Below the screen, it will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a punch-hole at the top.
The Motorola X40 will offer RAM options of 8GB, 12GB, 18GB, and internal storage options including 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB. Regarding the camera, the Motorola X40 will support a triple camera setup on the rear, likely including a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 12MP portrait sensor, with 4x optical zoom support.

However, conflicting reports have arisen regarding the battery capacity of the device, with predictions suggesting that the Motorola X40 will feature a battery capacity ranging from 4450 mAh to 4950 mAh.
The device has obtained FCC certification under the official name for the global version, Motorola Edge 40 Pro. It will be introduced in the Chinese market first under the name Motorola X40, with other markets following shortly after.
