Nestled within the nature reserve of the same name, Mount Lao Quan stands out as one of the most remarkable tourist destinations in China, boasting exceptional value in terms of beautiful natural landscapes, rich culture, and history. It is also renowned for its exceptionally fresh air.
Mount Lao Quan is a renowned mountain in China with stunning scenery, towering at 2,217 meters. It is also known as the resting place of Laozi, the founder of Taoism.

At the highest peak of the mountain range lies the Laozi Temple, surrounded by three towers: Jin Dian, Liang Bao Tai, and Yu Huang Ding.

To reach the summit of Mount Lao Quan, tourists can take a cable car for approximately 17 minutes or hike along a 10km-long trail. The best vantage point to admire the scenery of the main temple and the three towers is the peak of Ma Tong Mountain.

The entire nature reserve is a fusion of natural beauty and Taoist culture. Surrounding the main temple and the three towers are 16 other Taoist shrines, six of which have been renovated to welcome tourists.

The recently developed tourist spot within the Lao Quan Nature Reserve is named Shi Li Hua Bing, translating to “10 miles beautiful as a painting”.

The air atop Mount Lao Quan is remarkably fresh; air has been collected from the summit and distributed to the residents of Trinh Chau City—one of China's most polluted areas.

In fact, a festival to 'savor' the air from Mount Lao Tzu has been organized in this city so that people can experience breathing in clean air.
