Situated within the nature reserve of the same name, Mount Lao Quan stands as one of the most remarkable tourist destinations in China, with prominent value in terms of fresh natural landscapes, rich culture, and a diverse historical background. The place is also famous for its exceptionally pure and rarefied air.
Mount Lao Quan is a renowned mountain in China with breathtaking scenery, towering at 2,217 meters. It is also recognized as the resting place of Laozi, the founder of Taoism.

The highest peak of the mountain houses the Laozi Temple, surrounded by three towers named Jin Dian, Liang Bao Tai, and Yu Huang Ding.

To reach the summit of Mount Lao Quan, visitors can opt for a 17-minute cable car ride or embark on a 10km trek. The prime location for tourists to admire the scenery of the main temple and the three towers is the peak of Ma Tong Mountain.

The entire nature reserve is a harmonious amalgamation of natural beauty and Daoist culture. The area surrounding the main temple and the three towers also features 16 other Daoist temples, with 6 of them having been renovated to welcome tourists.

Recently developed in the vicinity of the natural reserve of Lao Quan Mountain, the new tourist area is named Shi Li Hua Bing, meaning '10 miles as beautiful as a painting'.

The air atop Lao Quan Mountain is exceptionally pure; they have captured air from the mountain's summit in bags and distributed it to the residents of Trinh Chau city – one of the most polluted places in China.

In fact, a festival to 'savor' the fresh air from Mount Lao Tzu was organized in this city, allowing people to experience and breathe in the crisp, clean air.
