Utilizing an overly full drive can lead to a sluggish computer or encounter issues with software corruption. Transferring software from drive C to another drive is an effective method to maximize available storage space. However, the software has various components scattered across the drive, making it challenging to move.

Below is a guide on transferring software to another drive using Windows 10 settings. If you prefer third-party software, follow this article.
Moving Applications Using Settings on Windows 10
Easiest Way to Move Applications Between Drives on Windows 10
Step 1: Press Windows + I to open Settings. On the main interface, select Apps.

Step 2: Locate the application you want to move, then choose Move.

Step 3: Choose the drive you want the application to be moved to. Then click Move.

If the Move button is unavailable for the application, it means the program is a native Windows 10 app, and you cannot move it.
Change Installation Folder
Moving the file location of installed software on your computer cannot be done by simple copy-pasting. Each software typically has too many components scattered across the drive. Arbitrarily moving may cause the software to stop working. Instead, you have an easy way: uninstall the software and reinstall it on another drive. But first, change the default folder used for installing new programs.
Step 1: Press Windows + I to open settings. This time, choose System.

Step 2: Choose Storage in the menu column.

Step 3: Locate the Change where new content is saved line.

Step 4: In the New apps will save to section, select the drive where you want to install software instead of drive C.

Finally, click Apply to complete the process.

After changing the default installation drive, proceed to uninstall and reinstall the software. The software will automatically be saved to the new drive.
