Today, Mozilla announced the launch of two brand new apps for Apple's iOS and Google's Android platforms. The apps, Firefox Lockbox for iPhone and iOS, and Firefox notes for Android, are now available for users enrolled in the Test Pilot program.
Download Firefox Lockbox for iPhone here
Firefox Lockbox for iOS allows the browser to automatically log in to websites where you've saved passwords. The app can sync passwords across devices but is only compatible with passwords saved on the Firefox browser through your Firefox Sync account.
According to Mozilla, users can use passwords saved on the browser to log into online accounts like Twitter or Instagram without opening the website. Additionally, users can use Face ID and fingerprint scans to unlock the app and securely access their accounts. If you prefer not to use Face ID on your device, check out how to disable Face ID here
Firefox Notes for Android: Simple and Secure Note-Taking
Firefox Notes for Android promises users a simple and secure note-taking app. The notes sync across platforms, allowing you to access and read your Firefox notes on Android devices like phones and tablets.
Mozilla also assures that notes stored on your Firefox Sync account are end-to-end encrypted, ensuring only you can read your notes.
