MSI launches the MEG 342C QD-OLED - a 34-inch gaming monitor equipped with Quantum Dot OLED panel, MSI's competitor to Dell's Alienware AW3423DW.
MEG 342C QD-OLED is a curved gaming monitor equipped with Quantum Dot OLED (QD) panel. Similar to Dell's Alienware AW3423DW announced at CES 2022, MEG 342C QD-OLED features a 34-inch display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels.
Based on the technical specifications of the monitor announced by MSI, it seems that both the MEG 342C QD-OLED and Alienware AW3423DW share the same display panel.
Therefore, the MEG 342C QD-OLED also features a 1800R curvature, a refresh rate of 175 Hz, and a response time of 0.1 ms GtG. Additionally, MSI's new monitor achieves 99.3% DCI-P3 color gamut, 97.8% AdobeRGB color gamut, and 139.1% sRGB color gamut. Similar to the Alienware AW3423DW, the MEG 342C QD-OLED also meets VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification, with a maximum brightness of 1000 nits and a viewing angle of 178 degrees.
MSI states that the MEG 342C QD-OLED is one of the first monitors from the company to feature Human Machine Interface (HMI) 2.0 technology. In a press release, MSI describes HMI 2.0 as a technology that allows the MEG 342C QD-OLED to synchronize the OSD menu of the monitor with settings on the PC, such as brightness and screen modes.
Unfortunately, MSI has not yet disclosed the price and release date of the MEG 342C QD-OLED. Dell sells the Alienware AW3423DW for $1,299 (about 30 million VND).
