MEG 342C QD-OLED, MSI's latest gaming monitor, boasts a 34-inch OLED Quantum Dot display, competing head-to-head with Dell's Alienware AW3423DW.
MEG 342C QD-OLED is a curved gaming monitor equipped with a Quantum Dot OLED panel. Similar to Dell's CES 2022 announcement of the Alienware AW3423DW, the MEG 342C QD-OLED features a 34-inch display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels.
Based on the specifications released by MSI, it appears that the MEG 342C QD-OLED and Alienware AW3423DW share the same display panel.
As a result, the MEG 342C QD-OLED also features a 1800R curvature, 175Hz refresh rate, and 0.1ms GtG response time. Additionally, the new MSI monitor achieves 99.3% DCI-P3 color gamut, 97.8% AdobeRGB color gamut, and 139.1% sRGB color gamut. Similar to the Alienware AW3423DW, the MEG 342C QD-OLED is also VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certified, with a maximum brightness of 1000 nits and a viewing angle of 178 degrees.
MSI states that the MEG 342C QD-OLED is one of the company's first monitors to feature Human Machine Interface (HMI) 2.0 technology. In a press release, MSI describes HMI 2.0 as a technology that allows the MEG 342C QD-OLED to synchronize OSD menu with PC settings, such as brightness and display modes.
Unfortunately, MSI has not yet disclosed the price and release date for the MEG 342C QD-OLED. Dell is selling the Alienware AW3423DW for $1299 (approximately 30 million VND).
