Recently, Crucial has become the first manufacturer to introduce DDR5 DIMM products with capacities of up to 24GB and 48GB for both desktops and laptops. These DIMM memory modules adhere to JEDEC standards, allowing PCs to have more RAM while maintaining the same number of DIMMs.
Introducing DDR5 technology. The new DIMM memory adheres to DDR5-5600 standard and supports all DDR5 features. Notably, it includes the ability to self-correct errors with ECC directly on the Die Chip (ODECC) along with integrated power management circuits (PMIC) directly on the module.
Experience the cutting-edge DDR5-5600 standard DIMMs with full DDR5 features and ECC error correction directly on the Die Chip (ODECC) along with integrated power management circuits (PMIC) directly on the module.

For the average user, expectations are set on complete RAM products with capacities up to 96GB by integrating 48GB DIMMs. Increasing the capacity by 50% on the highest-end RAM configurations to 64GB is noteworthy.

Additionally, MSI has confirmed that its Intel 700-Series motherboard systems will also support DIMMs with capacities of 24GB and 48GB. All motherboards provide excellent support for both Intel Gen 12 and Gen 13 processors (Raptor Lake and Alder Lake). For specifics, refer to the lists below for more details:

In its latest press release, MSI has announced further support for DDR5 memory DIMMs of 24GB and 48GB for both the Intel 700-Series and Intel 600-Series, including MEG, MPG, MAG, & PRO Series products. Motherboards with 4 DIMMs will support a maximum capacity of up to 192GB, while those with 2 DIMMs will support 96GB.
Finally, there's no need to update the BIOS to use the new memory DIMMs with capacities up to 48GB. All you have to do is install the new memory modules and enjoy significantly improved performance, especially for gamers and multitasking users.
