In commemoration of the 55th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Yen Bai province (25/9/1958 – 25/9/2013), Yen Bai province is organizing the “Cultural, Sports, and Tourism Week at the national scenic terraced fields of Mù Cang Chai in 2013.
The event will take place from September 26th to 29th, primarily in the La Pan Tan, De Xu Phinh, Che Cu Nha communes, and the center of Mù Cang Chai district.
An award ceremony and photo exhibition of the “Beautiful Tourism Photos of Eight Northwestern Provinces” contest will also be held during this period.

To ensure the smooth execution of the program as planned, the Provincial People's Committee suggests that the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Mù Cang Chai district and related sectors pay special attention to promoting the events; closely coordinate between departments; and develop a budget plan with a thrifty yet highly effective approach.
The Provincial People's Committee also recommends paying attention to the exhibition 'Crossed Views,' reflecting the friendly cooperation between Yen Bai province and the Val-de-Marne region (France).
Ensuring the organization of tours during the festival includes detailed reception plans, accommodations aligned with community tourism, and a focus on the quantity and quality of photos for harmony and suitability in photo exhibitions.
The Cultural, Sports, and Tourism Week in Mù Cang Chai in 2013 is an occasion for the people of various ethnic groups in Mù Cang Chai district and Yen Bai province to reflect on revolutionary traditions, the brave spirit of the army and people in the resistance against French colonialism and the American empire; elevate the revolutionary spirit of party members, officials, and the people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
This is also an opportunity to promote the image of the national scenic terraced fields of Mù Cang Chai, as well as the unique indigenous culture of the H'mong people to domestic and international tourists.
