Described as a twenty-year-old maiden, Mu Waterfall captivates travelers with its majestic natural beauty as the immense cool blue water cascades down the rocky terraces.
Mu Waterfall, an unspoiled destination for exploring Hoa Binh
Located at an altitude of over 1,000 meters in the first section of the magnificent Truong Son range, Mu Waterfall is situated in Mu hamlet, Tu Do commune, Lac Son district, Hoa Binh, only about 140km from Hanoi.

From a distance, even before seeing the waterfall, one can hear the roaring sound of rushing water. Descending down the short stone steps, weaving through clusters of trees, Mu Waterfall reveals itself, with its gushing, pristine white water.

Stepping foot near the waterfall, you will feel overwhelmed by the magnificent beauty that nature has bestowed upon this place, with the immense cool blue water pouring down the rocky terraces in mesmerizing layers.

At the base of Mu Waterfall lies a small lake, with pathways leading to each tier of the waterfall. The deepest part of the waterfall is only about 2 meters deep, so it's not too dangerous for tourists. One of the highlights of Mu Waterfall is the base section, which is over 100 meters high after years of water flowing down, creating a wide expanse of green water resembling a natural swimming pool.

Along the waterfall, from the lower source to the upper source, there are dense forest canopies, which visitors can follow to conquer each tier.

To reach Mu Waterfall from Hanoi, follow Thang Long Avenue towards Ho Chi Minh Road. After driving for about 100km, near Cuc Phuong National Park, turn right and continue for 15km to Vuc Ban town (center of Lac Son district). Then ask for directions to Mu Waterfall (Ngoc Son, Ngoc Lau, Tu Do). Note that the road from Vuc Ban to Mu Waterfall is a real challenge for drivers because it's very difficult and narrow, so the most suitable means of transport is a motorcycle.
