1. Exclude Keyword-Related Results
You can search for content related to your main keyword and exclude content with additional keywords using the - operator – a highly effective method for precise filtering.
Example: Download Game -FreeFire
For longer keywords, you need to add quotation marks. Example: Download Game -'Garena Free Fire'
2. Find exact keywords with double quotation marks ''.
This is one of the familiar methods for many users. When searching with double quotation marks '', Google will display all related topics to the keyword and the content will also be much more accurate.
3. Search using images.
Here, you can search using image URLs or images from your computer. When searching by image, Google will provide you with related images or the source of those images.

4. Search content on a specific Website
You can use Google to search for content within a website by typing: the keyword you want to search site:website address. Google will then return results related to the keyword within that website.
5. Search for Websites with similar content
To find Websites with similar content, enter into Google search engine: related:website name. Google will then return results of Websites with content similar to the one you entered.
6. Currency and unit conversion
To convert currency or units of measurement, use 'to' between two types of currency or two units of measurement. For example, to convert from USD to VND, enter: USD to VND, ... Google will then provide search results immediately at the top. (Currently 1USD = 21250 VND as shown in the image below)
7. Perform online calculations
You can perform direct mathematical calculations on Google by entering the word 'Calculator'. Then, a calculator will appear allowing you to easily perform online calculations.
8. Check flight status
Checking flight status helps you know when the flight will land, the flight status, ... convenient for picking up relatives at the airport. To check a flight, enter airline and flight number. For example: American Airlines 8931. Then, the information about this flight will be displayed for you. (12:10 PM on 10/30 departure - 5:01 AM on 10/31 arrival)
9. Check movie showtimes
You can check movie showtimes by entering into Google: showtimes: movie name. Then, the returned results will be displayed for you. However, this feature is not yet supported in Vietnam.
10. View world time
To view the time of countries around the world, enter into Google using the format: time: location (location here can be the name of a country or region). Then, the returned results will be displayed at the top for you to view.
11. Hour counter tool
Need a timer tool? Google also provides a tool to assist you with this. Just type into the search bar 'set a timer' and this tool will appear on the screen allowing you to set the time and notify you when the time is up.
12. Search by file format
To search for data by the file format you want, enter into Google: Name of what you're looking for filetype File format name (File format name can be: doc, pdf, ...)
13. Search for the definition of a word
Encounter a specialized or in-depth term in any field that you're unfamiliar with? You can search for the definition of that word using Google's tool. Simply enter into the search bar the syntax: define,word to define. Then, the returned results will allow you to view the definition of that word.
