With a desire to conquer new lands, explore numerous scenic spots, and immerse in the beauty across the homeland, experiencing different cultures with the everyday life of simple people, or just to indulge in youthful enthusiasm and passion for adventure, these are the fantastic places for your experiences.
The Roof of Indochina - Full of Challenges
Fansipan is the highest mountain in Vietnam, also the highest in the Indochinese Peninsula, hence known as the “Roof of Indochina” at 3,143 meters above sea level in the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, about 9 kilometers southwest of Sa Pa town, adjacent to the provinces of Lao Cai and Lai Chau in the Northwest of Vietnam. Previously, it took about 5 – 6 days to trek from Sa Pa to the summit of Fansipan. Nowadays, the total time for the climb is only 3 days, or even 2 days, and for those who are experienced and in good health, it can be done in a single day.

This is an intriguing destination for adventure enthusiasts to explore, conquer challenges, and embark on thrilling adventures. There are three main routes to reach the summit of Fansipan. The first route starts from Cat Cat village in Sa Pa, about 40km via mountain trails. The second route starts from Sin Chai village at an altitude of nearly 1300m, which is one of the steepest routes to the summit. Lastly, the safest and shortest route (though the scenery is not as spectacular as the other two routes) starts from Tram Ton, now the entrance to Hoang Lien Son National Park.

The best time for mountain climbing is from September to March of the following year. However, the most beautiful time to ascend Fansipan is around the end of February, when mountain flowers begin to bloom. You will be amazed by the stunning scenery of the radiant spring nature. The peaks of Hong Linh or Banh Ma are considered ideal spots for trekking tours in Vietnam.
