Must-Visit Destinations in Phú Thọ during Ancestor Commemoration
Hung Temple
This will be the first destination for tourists when visiting Phú Thọ for tourism. Hung Temple is considered a national tourist area, located 90km from Hanoi, in Hy Cuong commune, Viet Tri city. On the ancestral anniversary on the 10th day of March every year, this place hosts the largest festival in the country, attracting hundreds of thousands of people for worship.

The tourist area has four main attractions: Lac Long Quan Temple, Au Co Mother Temple, Temple of the Hung Kings, and the Hung Kings Museum. Each location resides in a different spot, creating a picturesque and poetic landscape.
The mountainous region of Hùng is divided into 5 parts: Lower Temple, Middle Temple, Upper Temple, including the Well Temple, and Thiên Quang Meditation Center built in the Dharma style to worship Buddha. This is not just a spiritually educational activity promoting the patriotic spirit of 'remembering the source of water,' but also an occasion for us to trace our roots and express gratitude to our forefathers - those who contributed to the nation.
Xuân Sơn National Park

Xuân Sơn National Park, located in Thanh Sơn district, Phú Thọ province, covers an area of 18,369 hectares. Here, tourists can witness the most beautiful pine forest in the North and numerous plant species such as wild vegetables, bamboo shoots, and orchids.
Nature here retains its pristine and wild beauty, with a cool climate throughout the year, making it an ideal destination for travelers seeking exploration, relaxation, and discovering the unique culture of ethnic minorities.
Heavenly Lake - Fairy Spring
Heavenly Lake - Fairy Spring is known as the heavenly landscape of Phú Thọ province, situated on Nả Mountain in Quân Khê commune, Hạ Hoà district, 80km northwest of Việt Trì city. This place is currently an attractive tourist destination for many visitors due to the breathtaking beauty of nature. The rich ecosystem includes hundreds of majestic peaks standing tall against the blue sky, surrounded by a dense layer of tropical trees such as pine, lime, ironwood, and golden heartwood, making the landscape even more vibrant and unique.
Chau Pond
From Viet Tri, heading northwest for an additional 70km, you will arrive at a vast expanse of water shaped like the head of a buffalo, with two horns pointing in the directions of the Lo River and Thao River. Throughout the year, the water in the pond never dries up but remains a clear, serene mirror reflecting the expansive sky and the rolling hills.
Hundreds of water alleys weave through the hills, collecting water from small streams on all sides, creating a picturesque and charming river landscape. Here, tourists have the opportunity to explore the lush fruit orchards planted by locals around the pond, enjoy leisurely fishing, or try adventurous activities such as mountain climbing and boating. Currently, Chau Pond is considered a promising tourist destination actively developed by Phu Tho province.
Mother Au Co Temple

Mother Au Co Temple, dedicated to Mother Au Co, was built during the Hau Le period and is located in Hien Luong commune, Ha Hoa district, Phu Tho province. It is a high-value architectural masterpiece with ancient temple structures, precious statues such as the Au Co statue, the Duc Ong statue, valuable carvings, and numerous priceless artifacts. The temple area is a rectangular piece of land approximately 200m in length and 150m in width, surrounded by high walls.

Covering an area of about 1 km² with a depth ranging from 35 to 100 meters and water temperature ranging from 40 to 57 degrees Celsius, this water mine attracts tourists and locals alike who come here to immerse themselves in the hot mineral stream for body rejuvenation and healing.
