After a period of introduction in the domestic market, today Honor officially brings its latest foldable phone lineup, including the Magic Vs and Magic 5 series, to global users. The Honor Magic5 Pro emerges as the pioneer in smartphone innovation. Sporting an IP68 waterproof rating, its design boasts curved edges at all corners, housing a triple-lens camera module in the center, equipped with an astounding 100x zoom capability. Available in three stunning hues: Glacier Blue, Meadow Green, and Coral Purple. Additionally, Honor introduces a variant featuring an Orange leather back alongside the classic Black edition.
Utilizing OLED display technology, the Honor Magic5 Pro achieves a peak brightness of up to 1900 nits, surpassing the standard 1300 nits, even rivaling the 1750 nits peak brightness of the Galaxy S23 Ultra. With a Delta E rating of only 0.27, the Magic5 Pro sets a new standard in display quality. Introducing the Super Dynamic Vivid Display feature, enhancing dynamic contrast range by 500%. Notably, it claims the highest screen rating on DxoMark.

With the front 3D camera, Honor implements gesture controls for quick operations like scrolling or screen capture. Leveraging Qualcomm's new platform ensures optimization and enhanced speed. Additionally, besides Qualcomm's chip, Honor incorporates a dedicated security chip to store users' biometric data.The Honor Magic5 Pro will feature a 5450mAh battery, supporting SuperCharge 66W fast charging technology and 50W fast wireless charging. Offering usage time of over 12 hours, surpassing iPhone 14 Pro Max at 11 hours and 54 minutes, and Galaxy S23 Ultra at 10 hours and 25 minutes.The Honor Magic5 Pro will run on MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13, ensuring seamless operation with other Honor ecosystem devices, including tablets, laptops, headphones, and smartwatches.
In addition to the Magic5 Pro, Honor introduces the Honor Magic 5, another premium smartphone with a design similar to the Magic5 Pro. It features curved glass edges at all corners, IP68 waterproof rating, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform, and a camera setup including a 54MP main sensor, 50MP ultrawide sensor, and 32MP telephoto sensor. The Magic5 also boasts a 5100mAh battery and supports 66W charging.During the event, Honor also unveiled One More Thing, introducing the new Silicon-carbon Battery technology. According to Honor, this technology minimizes energy consumption, increasing energy density by up to 12.8%. Next up is the Magic Vs foldable phone, featuring a design almost devoid of visible folds and folding even tighter than the Galaxy Z Fold4.
Honor also implements a new folding mechanism, resulting in a thickness of only 12.9mm when folded, compared to the Galaxy Z Fold4's 15.8mm. Testing this folding mechanism 40,000 times ensures durability for the device. The Magic Vs also boasts a 5000mAh battery, thin yet larger than the Galaxy Z Fold4's. According to Honor, using the external screen extends usage by over 2.58 hours compared to the Z Fold4, while using the internal screen extends usage by over 1.04 hours.
Honor Magic Vs will feature an external screen of 6.45 inches with a 21:9 aspect ratio and thinner bezels than the Z Fold4. This screen also reaches a maximum brightness of 1200 nits, 20% brighter than its counterpart. The internal OLED 2K+ display of the Honor Magic Vs incorporates AR coating to reduce reflections by up to 61% compared to the Z Fold4. Specifically, the internal display measures 7.9 inches, with a resolution of 2560 x 1080, 1 billion colors, a refresh rate of 90Hz, HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of 800 nits.The Magic Vs will also run on MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13. Honor optimizes the user interface of MagicOS for foldable devices.
