Get the latest scoop on the My Hero Academia author as he races to conclude this renowned series.
A recent share from the creator of My Hero Academia, Kohei Horikoshi, has fans worried that the conclusion of this famous series is being shunned by many. According to Horikoshi, due to readers' aversion to the introduction of too many antagonist characters, he has had to swiftly sketch the ending of the manga instead of devoting an entire arc to delve into the antagonists and their pasts.

Horikoshi remarked during the Ultra Stage play: 'Until now, the series has garnered much attention from readers, but that has completely changed with the arrival of the villains. Frankly, fans aren't too keen on this character lineup, and I have to quickly wrap up my manga with just the final battle.'
Regarding this decision, the author of My Hero Academia added sorrowfully: 'I had planned out the story, and I couldn't let the antagonist characters leave without doing anything. I decided to cut short some things I had planned for the final arc and rushed into the next battle. It's truly disheartening.'

It appears that Japanese fans aren't particularly fond of antagonist characters in My Hero Academia. There are numerous reasons behind why antagonist characters are disliked in Japan, and one of the main reasons is culture. In Japan, you can either assimilate with the rest of society or become ostracized.
Being abandoned doesn't amount to something significant. That's why developing characters for villains isn't favored by Japanese fans. There's a successful series praised by Japanese fans as 'where no one is truly a villain'. Can you guess which one? It's none other than Oda's One Piece.

As the popularity of the series began to decline due to the emergence of antagonist characters, Horekoshi felt pressured to swiftly execute that part and move on to the next with hopes that My Hero Academia will be better received. Currently, My Hero Academia is gearing towards its final developments. What are your thoughts on this? Feel free to share your opinions!
