As she grew older, she worked as a team leader in a district. In her district responsibilities, she had a boy named Lai who spent his days wandering aimlessly, neglecting his studies. Her task was to encourage Lai to attend school. To get acquainted with Lai, she had to wander the streets with him. One day, she spotted Lai daydreaming, his eyes fixed on a store where a pair of azure triplet shoes hung. Seeing the boy's gaze, she recalled her childhood days when she too dreamt of having a pair of azure triplet shoes. So, she decided to reward Lai with a pair of azure triplet shoes on his first day in class.
When receiving the shoes, Lai's hands trembled, his lips quivered, his eyes fixed on the shoes, then down to his own feet fidgeting on the ground. Upon leaving the class, he tied the two shoes together, hung them around his neck, and joyfully hopped around.

She buys Lai a pair of azure triplet shoes and presents them to him on his first day of class. Receiving the dream shoes from Sister Lan, Lai is astonished and overjoyed! His hands tremble, his lips quiver in gratitude, and his eyes fixate on his humble, blackened feet fidgeting on the ground. Leaving the class, Lai ties the two shoes together, hangs them around his neck, and happily skips like a cheerful flute.
