- Admission requirements:
- Candidates who participated in the preliminary selection and were notified by the Naval Academy of meeting the requirements for admission to officer training at the university degree level.
- Meet the requirements to graduate from high school (or have graduated from high school in previous years).
- Participate in the 2020 High School Graduation Exam, achieve a total score of the combination of 03 subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry (block A00) or Mathematics, Physics, English (block A01) with 16.0 points or higher and no failing grade (according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training) are eligible to apply for admission to the Naval Academy.

According to the 2016 admissions results, the admission threshold for the Naval Academy is not only based on the national high school graduation exam scores but also includes additional criteria for admission. The Naval Academy only admits one major, which is the Naval Staff Operations Command with the subject combination A00 requiring 23 points. The admission conditions also require candidates to have a math exam score of 8.25 points or higher, and the total scores of Math, Physics, and Chemistry in 5 semesters on the high school transcript must be 130 points or more.
Candidates who wish to apply to the Naval Academy in 2017 need to ensure a national high school graduation exam score above 23 points to have the highest chance of admission.
