How to Use Google Maps, Find Directions on the Web
1. Finding Directions on Google Maps
This is a fundamental feature and one that Google Maps users are concerned about. It helps you search for directions to any location on the map in the fastest and safest manner possible, ensuring compliance with traffic laws.
Step 1: You can easily get directions from any location on the map using Google Maps' most intelligent route search system. First, if you don't know where the location you're looking for is on the map, use the search function in Google Maps.
Step 2: Immediately after, information about the location will be displayed, and you just need to click on 'directions,' the system will automatically take you there.
Step 3: Beforehand, don't forget to select your current location and mode of transportation, as this will affect your route. If you're using a motorcycle, you can choose 'walking or biking' as your mode of transport.
Step 4: Immediately, you will see your route along with the route and time it will take to get there.
Step 5: Another way, if you know the location on the map, you can directly tap on the map and select 'directions'.
Step 6: Next is to choose your location, it could be a preset location or use GPS or any location you desire.
Step 7: The results appear with the minimum departure time, of course, there are still many other options if you want to take a different route.

2. Using the 'What's here' Feature
This is a basic feature of Google Maps, it tells us about the locations around us or the locations we're heading to. To find out, you need to click on the location and select 'What's here', then the search box will display the coordinates of the selected location, and below is the exact address.
3. Setting Your Location
Setting two locations as 'Home' and 'Work' will help you find directions more quickly because the frequency of you departing from these two locations is very high.
Step 1: To do this, you simply need to enter the address of your home and work, first, press the Menu button.
Step 2: Then the Menu list appears, you select 'your places', here we can adjust our locations.
Step 3: Here you are allowed to choose to add another home or work location, note that you must click on a specific point on the map before adding a separate location.

There are 2 ways to quickly share a map location, one is to press Menu then select Share or Embed Map.
And then a link appears that allows you to send this link to your friends.

5. Find Nearby Points of Interest
If you want to find information about restaurants or entertainment areas around your location, simply click on any location on the map and then right-click “Find Nearby Points of Interest”.
Immediately, suggestions appear for you to find schools, restaurants, hotels, or even gas stations.
As in the example above, when using Google Maps to search for nearby points of interest, I chose a restaurant, immediately a list of nearby restaurants appears with complete information.
