New Features in iOS 17 Beta 3 Update

Similar to previous betas, iOS 17 beta 3 comes with several minor tweaks and new features to enhance user experience. Here are all the new features of this update.

Enhancements to Recently Deleted Photo Album

Apple made interface adjustments in the recently deleted photo album. Instead of integrating separate 'Delete' and 'Restore' buttons, there is now a small three-dot menu icon at the bottom that can be tapped to display restore and delete options.

When no images are selected, options include 'Delete All' and 'Restore All'. However, when you select an image, it will have the option to restore or delete. When dealing with Live Photos, if you select one or more Live Photos and tap the manage icon, there is a new 'Save as Video' option.

If you are deleting or restoring images of a person, you can choose the 'Feature This Person Less' option.

Enhanced Interface for Mental Health Feature

Apple made minor design adjustments to the 'Mental Health' section of the Health app, making it more visually appealing and cohesive. Colors for different emotions have been changed, and buttons and backgrounds now appropriately match mood selections.

As a result, light purple indicates a very unpleasant mood, while feelings of discomfort will have more shades of green than before, slightly pleasant is brighter shades of green with more yellow, pleasant is yellow instead of green, and very pleasant is orange.

There is also an option to enable mood recording reminders. Times include midday and end of day, with customizable schedules available.

Song Information on Apple Music

In the Apple Music app, iOS 17 beta 3 brings an option to view song information by tapping the three-dot icon next to the currently playing, searched, or playlisted song. The information section will display all performing artists, songwriters, and production and engineering contributors.

This section also contains an option to view full song lyrics, which has been removed from the standard dropdown menu. Additionally, it provides information about available sound quality such as Lossless or Dolby Atmos.

In iOS 17 beta 3, Apple introduces a splash screen to let you know about the new features of the Home app. For multi-color light support, there are now preset settings at the end of the interface for quickly changing colors. Color options also appear in the Control Center when accessing a specific light.

The Home app in the third beta version of iOS 17 now also supports 'Activity History', which can be turned on or off for the previous month. Activity history displays activity events for smart locks, garage doors, and home security systems.

There is a possibility that the third beta for developers of ‌iOS 17‌ will offer a similar trial to participants in the public beta program. It is known that Apple promises to release the public beta of iOS 17 in July, so it may appear soon.
