What is Android 7 Nougat?
Android 7 Nougat is the successor to Android 6 Marshmallow, officially launched in 2016.
Each phone manufacturer customizes the interface on each product based on Android being an open-source operating system to provide differentiation or unique utilities.
New Features on Android 7 Nougat
In the most recent versions like Android 5.0 and 6.0, when accessing any setting item in the system settings menu, you always see an upward arrow on the navigation bar, or you can also use the back button (either capacitive or virtual) to return to the main settings menu page.

You can respond to messages directly from the notification bar, without leaving the current app or even unlocking the phone.

You can split the screen to run two apps simultaneously.

You can group notifications from one app together. Notification groups can also be expanded into individual notifications by swiping with two fingers or tapping the expand button. There are 6 levels for you to set, including:
- Block: Never show notifications
- Minimal level: Silently show at the bottom of the notification list
- Low Level: Quietly displays notifications in chronological order.
- Normal Level: Allows notifications to sound alerts.
- High Level: Provides audible alerts and previews content.
Important, Urgent: Displayed at the top of the notification list, with audible alerts and content previews.

Doze power-saving mode has been improved in Android 7.0 Nougat. Previously, this feature only worked when the phone was in sleep mode for an extended period. But now Google states that Doze will save battery anytime it detects the screen is off.

Daydream is a new platform in Android 7.0 Nougat and will include a mode called Android VR Mode. When activated, the interface, apps will be optimized for virtual reality. For example, the main screen of Android VR Mode will allow you to access only apps or content designed for virtual reality. This mode also includes special versions of YouTube, Street View, Play Store, Play Movies, and Google Photos.

The photo capture interface has been revamped with some new icons. HDR photo capture speed is faster, while also allowing for Slow Motion video recording.
Night Mode provides darker or warmer wallpapers to prevent eye strain when using your phone at night.

Android N introduces significant improvements in runtime. According to JIT Compiler evaluations, this new operating system reduces app installation time by 75% compared to Android 6.0, while also decreasing programming file sizes by 50%, aiding in storage space conservation on smartphones.
