During the Blue Origin's recent video documenting a flight, an unexpected event occurred approximately 1 minute and 5 seconds after liftoff. The camera abruptly shifted focus to the interior of the spacecraft instead of the rocket. Blue Origin has yet to comment on whether this incident will impact future unmanned missions or those carrying passengers. Future flights are expected to utilize different versions of the New Shepard spacecraft.
This marks the second unusual incident experienced by New Shepard. The first occurred in 2015 when the first-stage engine failed to land smoothly, resulting in a crash landing. Despite this, the cargo capsule still reached suborbital space as planned.Initially scheduled for August 31st and then September 1st, Blue Origin's NS-23 mission for New Shepard was delayed until yesterday due to adverse weather conditions. NS-23 was an unmanned mission aimed at delivering 36 payloads to suborbital space and returning them safely to Earth. Of these payloads, 18 were funded by NASA, and updates on their status are pending.New Shepard comprises a rocket and a spacecraft, both of which are reusable. Blue Origin operates two New Shepard vehicle combinations, one for space tourism and one for cargo transport flights. To date, the company has completed 6 crewed flights, starting from July 2021. NS-23 marks the first cargo transport flight conducted by Blue Origin since August last year.According to Space
