News from Saigontourist reveals that the Tet Nguyen Hue Flower Street in 2014 has the theme “Ho Chi Minh City – The city I love”. A horse-drawn carriage with a clock is the spectacular scene that kicks off Nguyen Hue Flower Street.
This year, a new feature is the art exhibition showcasing vegetables and fruits arranged along Nguyen Hue Street.

The overall flower street this year will be executed with three main segments:
The first segment (adjacent to Le Loi Street) is the grand scene of the “Timeline” with images of powerful horses pulling a clock carriage, overcoming time, overcoming difficulties, and moving forward. On both sides of the entrance are the small scene of “Celebrating the Spring Festival,” stylized with two giant apricot blossoms like Tet wishes sent to visitors. Alongside is the scene of “Southern Land,” featuring images with a Southern character, with coconut leaves made of bamboo attached to coconut fruits and colorful hanging baskets filled with flowers.
The second segment, located between Nguyen Thiep and Mac Thi Buoi Streets, is the exhibition area for various unique types of flowers from Dalat. The new twist is the arrangement of flowers interspersed with leaves, stones, straw, dry branches... creating a distinct feeling from the monochrome flowers of the previous year.
The third section at the intersection of Nguyen Hue and Ton That Thiep will feature a picturesque floral carpet with a vibrant color palette, surrounded by decorative clocks and artistic hands. Here, various scenes will be set up, incorporating rocks, hills, intertwining grass, and foliage to capture the distinctive beauty of the highland region. Cheerful images of colorful foals circling around a floral arch, ox-drawn carts, tables filled with rice, sticky rice, corn, pink stoves, and trays of traditional cakes; boats laden with fruits, green coconut hills, clean vegetable plots, thatched grass roofs, and calligraphy paintings... will be arranged along the flower street for people to enjoy.
In addition to the flower street, there is also the Nguyen Hue Light Street adorned with streetlights and featuring Doorshows. It is noted that Nguyen Hue Flower Street this year will welcome visitors from the 28th of December to the 4th day of Tet Giap Ngo.
