Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan – Hotel operating continuously for over 1,300 years in Japan
Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan, a resort located not far from Mount Fuji, Japan, surprises many as it has been operating for over 1,300 years. It opened its doors in 705 AD.

In 705, Fujiwara Mahito established the hotel – then an inn, and since then, his family has become experts in the lodging industry.

Although the hotel has undergone several renovations and partial modernizations, the main attractions here are the relaxing hot springs and the beautiful scenery that have been preserved.

The entire area boasts 6 soaking pools, with water sourced from 4 different springs. Many people, from renowned samurai warriors to A-list celebrities and politicians, have come here to explore history and enjoy the healing waters.

Keiunkan's famous bath, Mochitani no Yu, features water directly sourced from hot springs. Visitors can also drink water directly from the spring.

The Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan hotel features 37 rooms, decorated in Japanese style. Room rates here start from $408 per night. Visitors can also indulge in traditional cuisine at this resort.
