Looking back on his verbal altercation, Huy Popper acknowledges his unseemly behavior but also clarifies that he truly had no malicious intent.
Recently, Huy Popper - the BLV of Vietnamese Mobile Arena, got embroiled in controversy. He faced the ire of Thai fans, vehemently criticized for his offensive, disrespectful, and unsportsmanlike remarks towards the home audience immediately after the APL 2023 Finals. In a live stream, he witnessed Thai fans leaving the arena and unleashed a series of unpalatable remarks: 'Go home, you've seen enough today. **, screaming ***, screaming and not cheering, using the pillar to scream, what a ridiculous pillar. There, go home, go home!'.

After locking the livestream session on that day, Huy Popper also officially posted an article to apologize to the audience.
'Hello everyone, I'm Huy Popper,
I want to send my apologies to all domestic and international audiences for the unfortunate incident during the APL 2023 Finals. In my personal livestream after the match between SGP and BAC, I made some inappropriate remarks towards Thai audiences at the scene, affecting the perception of sportsmanship, respect, and the image of a professional BLV.'

He asserts himself 'had no intention or purpose to show disrespect to the Thai audience but merely expressed joy for Saigon Phantom's victory on his personal livestream'. The crowning of Saigon Phantom as champions caused him to be 'overwhelmed with emotions leading to statements beyond control'.
The male BLV conveys: 'With this letter, I sincerely apologize to you all, especially to the audiences who came and cheered for the teams at Iconsiam, you created a wonderful and highly appreciated atmosphere at the recent Finals.
From the bottom of my heart, I truly appreciate the affection of the Thai audience, of the Bacon Time players, and of the Thai BLV - MC team, who together brought the best emotions during the recent International Finals. Once again, I extend my sincerest apologies to you all, and I do not want the relationship between me and the international audience, built up for so long, to be hurt like this even a little bit. Thank you for listening.'
In the comments section, Huy Popper also expresses sincerity: 'If I have the opportunity to come internationally to Thailand, I will also self-criticize, and I will accept any form of discipline. I apologize for making everyone wait this long!'.

General viewers and Vietnamese fans in particular remain fair, seriously scrutinizing the actions of the male BLV. However, in the face of his apology, the community also encourages Huy Popper to return soon with more maturity and professionalism.
