Starting February 1, tourists entering Thailand will no longer need to quarantine as the government of this country resumes the “Test&Go” program after more than a month hiatus to prevent the Omicron variant.
No quarantine needed for travelers to Thailand from February 1
Thailand will resume the “Test & Go” program from February 1. This program initially allows individuals who have received full vaccine doses to enter Thailand and travel freely immediately upon negative testing.

The prerequisite remains that individuals have received the required basic vaccine doses. The difference since February 1 is that travelers must undergo testing on the first day and the fifth day after entering Thailand.

Travelers must also install a mobile application for monitoring and ensure compliance with the second test. Those in the “Test & Go” category will be taken to designated hotels for a short quarantine while waiting for test results.

Thai authorities also extend the operating hours for venues serving alcohol from 9 PM to 11 PM. However, bars and nightclubs remain closed.
